A Little About Modern Operators...
Modern Operators is developing AI powered infrastructure for founder-led companies doing $1M–$20M+ in revenue who want to scale predictably and sustainably into the future.
We’re building a fully integrated business operating system—anchored in proven frameworks and powered by an AI-driven leadership layer that acts like a seasoned fractional COO, offering founders decades of insight, automation, and control without sacrificing privacy or simplicity.
These systems are based on real-world lessons from building and running businesses that have generated over $100M in revenue.
Now, we’re productizing everything we’ve learned into a unified, scalable platform—and we’re looking for a technical co-founder to help us bring it to life.
🛠 What You’ll Be Building
We’re not a SaaS startup chasing the next VC round.
We’re operators with a clear mission: help founders build better businesses with
systems, automation, and leverage —not by throwing tools at problems.
As our CTO/Co-Founder, you’ll own the architecture, automation, and AI layers of our product. You’ll help create a system that feels like a fractional COO + automation team + growth strategist—all rolled into one.
What that actually means:
Building automation flows using n8n, Make.com, Zapier, and APIs
Creating AI-powered agents (GPT, LLaMA, or others) for intelligent document handling, Q&A, and insight generation
Building (or choosing) simple interfaces for users—think Streamlit, Retool, or other no-code tools
Integrating with a modular Notion-based OS with embedded guidance and workflows
Enabling versioning, deployment, and modularity for different customer segments
Creating infrastructure that non-technical operators can confidently use and manage
Prioritizing data security, reliability, and documentation from day one
"We’re building toward a modular architecture—where tools like n8n, ChromaDB, and open-source LLMs work together to create secure, private, and highly capable internal systems, all without needing a traditional backend team for rollout."
What We’re Looking For
This isn’t a job. It’s a co-creation alongside two other strong founding partners.
We’re looking for someone who:
✅ Thinks like a founder
✅ Is allergic to overengineering
✅ Wants to build with partners over the long-term…not drop, get tired and bounce
✅ Has opinions about how tech should empower and not frustrate people
✅ Gets excited about turning frameworks into scalable systems
✅ Enjoys working in the messy middle of product, ops, and tech
✅ Can architect efficient systems and explain them clearly to non-engineers
✅ Values autonomy, focus, and working smarter…not longer
✅ Is growth minded and not afraid to have open and honest conversations
"Technical familiarity matters, but mindset matters more."
Who We Are...
Damon Flowers has spent the past 22 years building, scaling, and exiting businesses across SaaS, real estate, e-commerce, private lending, and coaching. In his last two ventures, he led one company from zero to $12M in just five years and another from $3.5M to $30M in only two—growth achieved in record time by combining strategic clarity with relentless execution. A seasoned founder and advisor, Damon specializes in turning vision into momentum—and helping businesses scale with systems, leadership, and speed.
What sets him apart is not just his business track record, but his deep focus on human potential. A lifelong student of mindset, neuroscience, and spiritual growth, Damon believes the inner game drives the outer results. He’s coached thousands of entrepreneurs and led mindset workshops that transform how leaders think, act, and lead.
At his core, Damon is a builder—of companies, people, and meaningful lives. He’s a husband of 24 years, father of three, and outdoor enthusiast who believes great businesses are run by grounded humans with clear values. If you're the kind of technologist who wants to co-create something enduring and impactful, you’ll be in great company.
Mark Malian has spent the past decade helping businesses scale—serving on executive teams that grew multiple companies to 7- and 8-figure revenues, while also learning from the ones that didn’t make it. He’s built go-to-market strategies for dozens of brands, driven over $3M in direct client revenue in just the last three years, and advised hundreds of businesses across marketing, advertising, e-commerce, SaaS, and lead generation.
He’s endlessly curious about what makes a business work—how the right offer, the right message, and the right market combine to create momentum. Mark is obsessed with testing, refining, and simplifying systems so companies can break through growth plateaus and achieve predictable, compounding results. His approach blends strategic thinking with a deep understanding of buyer psychology and execution that actually moves the needle.
Outside of work, Mark is a husband, a proud dad to an adventurous two-year-old, a real estate investor, and a lifelong student of marketing, strategy, and performance.
🧩 Our Working Style

** We move fast, but we don’t glorify burnout.
** Marketing --> Build --> Feedback --> Refine --> Repeat

** We love clarity, ownership, and high standards, without high drama.
** We care about systems and soul.
“We believe in systems over chaos, leverage over burnout culture, and building a business that works for your life—not the other way around.”
